Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the most famous and scenic National parks in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley, about 160 Kilometers northwest of Nairobi, known for its stunning flamingo population and diverse wildlife, a must-visit destination for nature lovers and safari enthusiasts.

  • Flamingos and birdlife: Lake Nakuru National Park is known for its massive flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which feed on the algae in the lake, creating a breathtaking scenery. Over 450 bird species have been recorded in Nakuru, including Pelicans, cormorants, Kingfishers, and fish eagles.
  • Wildlife Sighting: Also, it’s home to rhinos (both black and white rhinos), making it one of the best places in Kenya to see these endangered species. Other wildlife includes the Lions, Leopards (rare), buffalo, giraffes, Zebras, and Hippos. This Park is a Rhino sanctuary with a successful conservation program.
