Located in Northern Tanzania, Serengeti National Park is known for its vast savannah, incredible biodiversity, and the annual Great Migration of the Wildebeest and Zebras.
It covers over 14,000 square kilometers and borders the Masai Mara National Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to the north.
Serengeti Wildlife and the Great Migration.
Serengeti is home to the big five wildlife (Lions, Leopards, Elephants, buffalo, and Rhinos), and other wildlife like Antelopes, Zebras, Giraffes, and many more.
Great Migration: Over 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 Zebras, and Gazelles traverse the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem in a cycle journey for fresh grazing grounds. It is one of the wonders of the world. The Migration stretches from the Masai Mara, Serengeti, and southern plains at Ndutu Area to the western corridor, the Grumeti River, and back.
It’s one of the best wildlife sightings in Africa, you will find predators like Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas following the Herd in the cycle.
