3 DAYS NGORONGORO, LAKE MANYARA SAFARI

Travel/Safari Itinerary 

Day 1

Moshi – Lake Manyara safari

Wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast, pick up from the hotel, before setting off to Lake Manyara. This will be a 3 to 4 hours’ drive with stopovers. Arrive at the national park, start your game drive. In time for lunch, you will drive to camp already booked camp for lunch and check-in. Later after having lunch, you will have another game drive which will be until 6:00 pm in the evening, back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2                           

Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro safari game drive.

The second day of the safari package will be morning game drive at Lake Manyara then in the evening drive to Ngorongoro crater. Wake up very early in the morning, at around 6:00 breakfast will be served en-route. In time for lunch, you will head back to the camp have lunch, then prepare for to departure to Ngorongoro crater. Arriving Ngorongoro late in the evening. Check-in into your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Ngorongoro – Arusha safari.

3rd day of the safari which will be the last day, half of the day will be spent at game drive then after, travel to Arusha. Morning breakfast will be served and very early in the morning game drive. In time for lunch, head back to the back where after lunch you will head back to Arusha.

Lake Manyara.

Lake Manyara is a Tanzania’s National park in the Arusha region, which is famously known for its flocks of flamingos and other about 400 species of birds. There is also other attraction in Lake Manyara, wildlife and other birds. Some of the wildlife found at Lake Manyara include large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, dik-dik, impala, cheetahs, Lions, warthogs, leopards, tree climbing pranks and baboon among other wildlife animals. A safari to Lake Manyara is one to remember for a long time because of its beautiful nature. Lake Manyara is one of the parks that has a couple of activities like birdwatching and game drive for a diverse wildlife experience.

Bird Watching Lake Manyara.

As I told you earlier, one of the reasons Lake Manyara is famously known is because of large flocks of pink flamingos. Bird watching is one of the many activities witnessed at Lake Manyara. There is also other specious of birds like the pelicans, crowned eagles, crested Guinea and the hornbills.

There are 2 main gates at the lake national park, the northern gate which many prefer because of the number of accommodation, and there is also the southern gate which many tour guides because of the few lodges in the area.

Perfect time for the safari to Lake Manyara.

The best time for this safari is during the dry seasons, between June and October while in the wet seasons, the park is usually less crowded, less adventurous safari.

Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro crater is located in the northern part of the Great Rift Valley which is home to a dense population of wildlife. It covers about 260 sq. Kilometers with about 30, 000 wild animals where a large population is for the wildebeest and Zebras. Other wildlife in the park includes large herds of elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs among other many wildlife animals. This is one of Africa’s premier attractions with spectacular wildlife and lots of Activities.
